The main responsibilities are:
1. To implement and enforce “the pricing law of the people’s republic of China” and the state and provincial law and regulations on price; to study and make the city’s regulations and policies and the plan of pricing reform;
2. To study and suggest the regulation goals of the city’s overall pricing level and the policies and measures; to keep the city’s overall price level stable;
3. To make the prices for the goods that should be priced by or under the direction of the government within its authority;
4. To make dynamic monitoring， predict and analyze the market price; to make a survey of the costs of key agricultural products; to make a suggestion about the regulation of the market price; to promulgate the market price information; to monitor the price fluctuation of key commodities and services;
5. To make a proposal about price regulation funds; to work with relevant departments to manage the food venture capital and non-staple food venture capital;
6. To direct， monitor and normalize the pricing activity; to organize the inspection of prices; to handle the price irregularities; to deal with the complaints and reconsideration cases relating price inspection;
7. To participate in the examination and submission of the administrative and social charges projects; to work with relevant departments to approve and submit the charging standards;
8. To direct the city’s pricing;
9. To undertake other work assigned by the city government and part committee and the development and planning commission;
