Temple Fair at Mount Yi of Zoucheng

According to legend， the custom of holding temple fairs originated during the spring and Autumn Period(770-476 B.C.)， which used to be spontaneous folk fairs for commodities exchanges. Nowadays， the fair has been changed into an important folk festival， which centers on the temple market to develop the folk culture and commercial and trading activities. On the 2nd day of the 2nd lunar month every year， the temple fair attracts thousands upon thousands of traders and tourists to gather at Mount Yi.
