Weishan Lake is the largest fresh water lake in north China， which covers an area of 1200 square kilometers. It is composed of Weishan， Zhaoyang， Dushan and Nangyang lakes. It is designated as a provincial-level scenic spot with its splendid scenery. In summer， vast lotus flowers blossom together， presenting a splendid sight with the lake， which can be called the largest lotus garden in the world. Some tourists， therefore， exclaim that ”one would not have the interest to appreciate any other lotus field after viewing the lotus in the Weishan Lake.” Weishan Lake is named the pearl in south Shandong for its beauty and abundance.
